What’s in a collar

The collar, it’s just an adornment, a mere decoration right? Not so, the collar means so much more.

Shortly after i joined Goddess’ distance training i was instructed to buy myself a collar. i was Her dog and a dog needs a collar. The message from Goddess told me exactly what i needed “a leather collar, leather on the inside not fabric. It will cope better later when things get messy”.

And so, I find myself in a pet shop looking at dog collars, a strange thing considering i do not have a dog. i search for one meeting Goddess’ requirements, all leather and one of Her favourite colours, red or black. There are others also looking at collars, presumably they are for their pets not for themselves. It takes a little while to find the right one and the right fit (i daren’t try them on in the shop), but eventually i pick one in red leather. As soon as i am home i put the collar on as ordered by Goddess, i am in heaven. The feeling when wearing it was amazing, it reinforced Goddess’ ownership of Her poodle. i wear the collar whenever i can, wanting the feelings it gave to be constant.

my first meeting with Goddess, i have travelled down to London and of course i have my collar with me. Soon after our arrival at the Hoxton Dungeon Suite it is time for the collaring ritual, this is a very special moment. First i move into the collaring position, high on knees, hands behind back and eyes lowered. Goddess lays the collar across Her lap and signals. i lower my head until it is in Her lap my neck across the collar. Goddess closes the collar around my neck, now i am truly hers, such a special moment which will always remain in my mind. There are not many moments in one’s life which compare to the moment when Goddess closes the collar around one’s neck.

The collar is my almost constant companion, Goddess only removes it when we go to a restaurant. i do have my first experience of wearing the collar outside. It is only on a short taxi journey, when we go to visit Madame Caramel, but a big step for me. i was very nervous but being with Goddess made it feel natural for the collar to be around my neck, it is how it should be.

On my next visits to Goddess i would wear a different collar. The ritual collaring is the same, i lay my neck across the collar and Goddess closes. Only this time there is a padlock, now there is no removing the collar until Goddess decides. If she wishes it could stay on forever. The padlock adds to the wonderful feeling of ownership the collar gives. The collar remains around my neck for the whole of each of the visits, no matter whether in public or private. Oh how nervous i felt as i walked with Goddess and sergiu in Dusseldorf. At first i felt very self-conscious of the collar around my neck, sure everyone was staring. Goddess presence eases these feelings though and after a little while it is no longer a concern. People may look, they may notice, but i belong to Goddess and they should know.

A new message from Goddess, Her poodle needs a new collar. Goddess sends me a link to the new collar i am to buy, it is a metal one. i am stunned, i understand the symbolism of the metal collar. It truly marks me as owned by Goddess, this one message makes me ecstatic. As soon as i can i order it excitedly, the image looks wonderful. So excited am i about the collar that i check the tracking every day to see where it is, desperate for it to arrive.

Finally, the day arrives when my new collar arrives. There is one problem, it arrives when i am at work. This means a wait until the next day to collect the collar, it is not long but it seems like forever. Goddess instructs me to try it on that evening, oh but the day drags on. Arriving home i open the packaging, the collar looks better than on the website, one perfect ring of metal. There is no padlock for this collar, just a locking screw. Once enclosed around one’s neck it stays until unlocked with the correct tool. The feeling when i place it around my neck is amazing, i feel even more owned and closer to Goddess than ever before. i love my new collar!

What’s in a collar?….Everything, it means the world to me.
